Q: SO YOU DON'T SELL MINIATURES? WHERE CAN I GET MINIS TO PLAY THE GAME?

Punk Overlord Games specializes in creating universal rules systems that can be used with ANY models you own. We were inspired by the huge number of independent 3d printed miniatures you can find across the web; models we love, but had no ready rules to use them with. We encourage you to seek out and use any apocalyptic, dieselpunk, underhive or wasteland miniatures that catch your eye - some of our favorites are listed on our homepage.

Q: WHAT SIZE BASES SHOULD MY MODELS BE ON?

A: Whatever size base they are currently on! Diesel Overlord is intended to allow you to use your models exactly as you have them. Bear in mind, it is against the spirit of the rules to choose larger or smaller bases to try to gain an advantage. We will be releasing a tournament pack in the future with more specific guidelines on bases, but generally Troopers should be on anything between 25-40mm, Mechs on 50-90mm, and Vehicles would not have a base size. (Consider that a teaser: yes, we will have giant robots and crazy vehicles in the future!)

Q: THERE ARE UPGRADES ON BOTH SIDES OF EACH UPGRADE CARD. WHEN BUYING UPGRADES, DO I GET THOSE LISTED ON BOTH SIDES, OR JUST THE SIDE I PAY FOR?

Just the side you paid for. For the purposes of the 2-Player Alpha edition, we decided to pack as much game material as possible in the deck, so opted for double-sided cards instead of losing the backside to plain graphics. When the full, 1-player decks are released, each upgrade will come on its own card, and in multiples.

Q: DO UPGRADES HAVE TO BE REPRESENTED ON THE MODELS I USE?

A: You should always endeavor to choose upgrades that match your models’ appearance, e.g. if your model has a missile launcher, choose the Missile Launcher Weapon Upgrade to give them.

Q: THE MISSION CARDS SAY “COVER 25% OF THE GAME AREA WITH TERRAIN MODELS”. DOES THAT MEAN EACH PLAYER COVERS THE BOARD WITH 25% TERRAIN, FOR 50% TOTAL COVERAGE? OR JUST 25% IN TOTAL?

A: Just 25% total coverage of terrain models, not 50%.

Q: WHEN ADVANCING, CAN I REALLY PLACE MY MODEL ANYWHERE THAT IT WILL NOT FALL DOWN, INCLUDING ON TOP OF ANOTHER MODEL?

A: You may place your model on top of terrain models, but not other types of models.

Q: WHY AREN'T BURNING TOKENS REPRESENTED ON THE TOKEN TRACKER CARD?

A; In our games, placing fire models on the tabletop to represent Burning Tokens made games feel more cinematic, so we encourage you to do the same!
